The Crown Players are a long-established amateur theatre group based in the city of Gloucester:
-
1956 - we begin life as the St Barnabas Players, a church-based group that performs at St Barnabas Church Hall.
-
1981 - we celebrate our Silver Jubilee with a production of Old Time Music Hall
-
1987 - we move production to our current location, The Kings Theatre in Kingsbarton Street.
-
1993 - we change our name to The Crown Players.
-
2006 - we celebrate fifty golden years in local theatre.
We have 3 to 4 productions a year, with comedy a speciality, and a pantomime every other year.
